Positive: A very central location, just a few minutes walk to the seafront, the Funchal cable car, while the very popular market (Mercado) is literally just across the road.

Negative: The rather steep stairway would certainly be a difficulty for someone with mobility problems.

Summary: A unfussy, comfortable apartment that couldn’t be more central.
