Summary: After a few lively days in Porto, we arrived in Afife. Joao and his mother Maria were waiting for us and gave us a warm welcome. The flat was clean and well equipped. We had two and a half quiet weeks in Afife, enjoying the garden and especially the private pool, having breakfast with a sea view in the morning and enjoying a port tonic on the terrace in the evening with the colours of the sunset. Joao and Maria are wonderful and warm-hearted hosts, Maria occasionally provided us with homemade marmalade or dessert and enquired whether we were doing well. Joao came at the weekend to check on things - and was always easy to reach in between. We really enjoyed our summer holiday there - thank you very much for your hospitality! We would be happy to recommend you and would love to come back
