Your entrance to its smart interior is via a neat terracotta tiled terrace, decorated with pretty walled flowerbeds and home to a stone table and benches that sit beneath a shady tree. From here, the main door leads the way into a spacious hall where exposed wooden beams, crisp painted walls and carefully chosen occasional chairs are a pleasing introduction to the beautifully coordinated and stylish rooms of what is a truly charming home.
Particularly appealing is the tower, added to the original building over the course of its restoration and set up as an informal reading room with windows on all four sides capturing the pretty rural views. Another attractive feature is the enclosed courtyard, which is accessed through a door at the back of the living room and offers another pleasant venue for outdoor catering.
Outside, a pretty stone pathway leads the way to the swimming pool which sits within a tiled terrace and is thoughtfully enclosed for added security. Just below, a wide expanse of lawn provides ample space for sunbathing or children’s play.
Ideally located for those wishing to explore this unquestionably picturesque area of Andalucía, Huerta Atienza is just a 20 minute drive from the famous gorge, ornate buildings and charming ‘pueblo blanco’ streets of the historic hilltop town of Ronda. A similar distance in the other direction is the pretty village of Grazalema whilst closer to hand, the village of Montecorto offers a local restaurant and shops just under 6km from the house.
