Villa Sherry is a very private place with views to Marigot Bay, the surrounding hills and out to the Caribbean Sea you can even glimpse Martinique in the distance on a clear day!
Wake up early to the sunrise and after an adventurous day watch the sunset and admire the glorious evening colours of the sky.
The Space
As you walk up the stairs to the main entrance you will find the living and kitchen space and the beautiful view as you head out to the large balcony where you enjoy a nice cool breeze all year round. The master bedroom is on this floor, just off the living area.
Villa Sherry is a two story building with the kitchen, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, living-area with TV, large balcony where you find a dining table for six and chairs for lounging. Off the kitchen is the laundry room. There are stairs down to the pool deck from this level.
The two guest rooms are on the ground floor and accessed directly from this level. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, balconies and a connecting door. All bedrooms have AC and mosquito nets.
There is an additional room on the ground floor with kitchenette, TV, half bathroom and direct access to the pool deck and BBQ.
The rooms on the ground floor have no interior access to the upper level. There is a stairwell going up to the upper balcony from the pool area and to the front entrance.
Every 3 to 4 days the Housekeeper will change towels, bedding and clean. The Gardner comes every 3 to 4 days.
The Bay
There are 6 restaurants in Marigot Bay, each with a bar and wonderful views to the beach and bay. Las Bas is the local beach where you can rent sunbeds, kyaks, paddle boards and of course have a drink. It is a 20 minute walk down to the jetty where you catch a ferry to the beach for $5 EC return ($2 USD) per person or if dining/drinking at Doolittes the ferry is free. Happy hour tends to be 5-6pm in most bars. The walk back to the Villa will take a little longer as its all up hill! Hence the fantastic views. There is usually a taxi hanging around if you do not hire a car.
Marigot Bay, as you can see from the pictures, is set in part of the rainforest. Beautiful, friendly and easy to travel to other parts of the Island both up north and down south by hire car or taxi tour. Anyone you bump into will always have a friendly word to say.
There is a small supermarket near the jetty in the Bay and 2 larger supermarkets a 15 minute drive away at Cul De Sac.
Tours, boat trips, taxi and car hire can all be arranged locally in Marigot Bay, I'd be happy to help and guide you to have an enjoyable time.
