Positive: The staff here were amazing! They went above and beyond for everyone. They cleaned everyday, folded all our towels and bedding, hung up wet clothing, air-rated the building and, me being one of those messy type of backpackers, they even neatly put my things under the bed. One of our toilets had an issue and within a few hours they had it fixed, most people in the hostel none the wiser it even failed. Ontop of that, I was blown away by what they provided: bananas, coffee, biscuits, sunscreen, insect repellent, toast, noodles, snorkeling gear, shampoo, body wash and most importantly, as a person with long hair, conditioner!! Seriously did not expect any of the services available and how clean the place is. They really earned a good review and it was a sentiment mirrored by everyone at the hostel. This place suits both solo travellers and anyone travelling in a party but the beauty of the place is that it is the best of both worlds. Most people staying here are looking the same thing: a bit of a social aspect but away from the main party and you will get what you put out so make an effort to talk to people they will certainly be happy to join for sunrise hikes or a night at the bar. FYI recommend the loch moo dee beach, easily the best beach accessible by walking on the island. Personally, I had a great room willed with a mix of awesome people from all over the world and we all had a great time. Cannot recommend this place enough, well worth the money and serious bang for your buck.

Negative: These guys went above and beyond so I have zero complaints. If there was only one criticism its that the coffee cups provided could be slightly bigger but that is really not important.

Summary: Excellent balance of both world with exceptional staff.
