Positive: We’ve stayed before in the summer and it was lovely. Location, staff and atmosphere.

Negative: I’m sorry but this time I can’t rate it highly this time. As a regular traveler throughout Europe I found myself at a deserted chateau ( 1 other party ) with no restaurant open. With offer of breakfast in room or bar. Having stayed at two hotels 4/5 star before this one In Biarritz and Salamanca I was able to compare prices versus facilities. Sadly we won’t be back. Extremely disappointed as we thought we’d found a gem before.

Summary: Beautiful building lacking in basic functionality. Most likely busy in summer but a little abandoned in winter.
