Summary: The stay was in general fine, but I am very disappointed about the communication and information. When we checked in the receptionist made us think that breakfast was included in our stay (usually I book without since the food options are so good in BKK, but thought that this one just included). It sounded like he told us it was included, also usually when it doesn’t include they would typically tell you how much is charged. However to our surprise, when we had sat down and got food were we given a bill to sign. Not even when we went in and got a table did they tell us clearly that breakfast wasn’t included, there were several occasions to let us know, but no. I would never pay 800 baht/pers + service charge and tax for a breakfast buffet which was so so when there is semaphore 3 min walk away with heaps of food options. Feels like we were tricked. Not that I don’t have the money to pay, but it’s about the principle and lack of information. This annoyed me a lot during the whole stay. We did get 20% off the bill but that was a discount I had in general because of hotels silver membership.
